Summer Watering

The drought we're in is taking its toll on the unmature and younger trees. You will often notice the lower leaves starting to "burn." This is due to the extreme heat and sun. Supplemental watering is crucial for trees in the 1-3 year range. Trees older than this should be established and can use the groundwater. If you notice an older tree starting to struggle you may want to take action and figure out what's going on. Our local extension agent through Texas A&M Agrilife extension can help you solve what's happening. The Agrilife extension is a free service and is in all 254 counties of texas.
